They have to have talent, relatability, all of those things, but most of all, they need EXPOSURE. Lots of great channels don't get any views! Anyways i thinks its a great idea your looking to the fans for some ideas about your site, just having a voting method up everytime would be a good place to start with feed back. Are you guys still running your live shows? because you have the page but no information on what time? how often ? or a recap on the last live show? i think it would be great to talk to you guys from the other side of the world :). We thought about doing something similar to what you were saying calling it the Captain's Log. Where you just hear the Captain's voice with imagery. This would eliminate a lot of work for us but I don't know. We are also going to put up a plug in that will allow people to submit links to videos they would like us to review. A video because my guess is that it'd get more hits than an article in here.
